Brooklyn-based artist Kaelin Kost has the kind of prismatic creativity that’s completely unrestrained by form or genre. With the arrival of her debut single “Mulholland Drive,” (premiered by Wonderland) the singer/songwriter introduced the world to her spellbinding sound and singular vision, an element she brought to brilliant life in creating the track’s cinematic video. Recently signed to 300 Entertainment, Kost is now at work on a debut EP that delicately blends the mystique of noir-pop with the finely detailed introspection of folk. Naming boundary-warping artists like Bright Eyes, PJ Harvey, Tricky, and José González among her many inspirations, Kost has matched raw emotion with a dreamy quality that merges the two worlds of art and music.
